I saw a link of this article on Yahoo front page. It's about a poor guy from Goveneur who lost his job there then moved to Montana for a new one and was laid off of that one after one day of work. The reason I'm posting it here is: Is that a Clarkson hat?

Given that he lives in Gouverneur I'd guess its some kind of Suny Canton hat myself. Don't see why a Gouverneur student or past student would be wearing a Canton HS hat.
