  • Yeah, I can't believe BC will take that much of an RPI hit by winning out. If either Clarkson or Colgate win the ECAC, regardless of opponent, they take the #2 seed from BC. It also seems that SLU can't get in without winning the tournament, which will make them a tough opponent on Saturday. And it seems nobody knows the answer of what to do with St. Anselm.

They will be knocked out of consideration due to their weak schedule.

              • Of all the weekends to have a Noreaster hit the NYS. With Clarkson, SLU, Colgate and Cornell playing in the ECAC Tourney I hope the weather does not diminish the crowds too much tomorrow. I think with good weather and those 4 teams they could have easily drawn over 2000.

How much snow did Potsdam get? Anyone know?

                • A dusting. Nothing more. The storm largely spared St. Lawrence County.

                    • Lots of empty seats at Cheel for the ECAC semifinal game but there's a lot of people on the rail all around the arena. 3-1 Tech early in the 3rd!

                        THE GOOD
                        Free ESPN3 coverage

McGill (pp), Pejzlova (2), Gabel (ENG) with the goals
                        Tiley stops 19 of 21
                        SOG 28-21 CCT
                        1 for 3 PP
                        Won faceoffs 29-28
Have to give some credit to Shelly in the SLU goal. She made a couple of really good saves to keep SLU in the game.

                        THE NOT SO GOOD
1 for 2 on the PK
Gabel missing a wide open net on a 2 on 1 pass from Giguere early in the third
Attendance at 1,509 I was hoping they would get over 2,500.

So they await the winner of Colgate - Cornell

UConn ENG with 0:40 left to go up 4–2, and the game has now concluded. Minnesota now needs to win the WCHA tournament or their NCAA Tournament run is over. Additionally, Clarkson's floor is now the #3 seed. If Cornell beats Colgate today, the floor will be #2.

                            • UConn beats BC and the Hockey East will be sending an auto bid to the NCAA tournament.

With that, Clarkson can finish no lower than #3 in the PWR and no higher than #2. Minnesota will need to win the WCHA tournament to get in the big dance. If they do that, they'll knock out either Cornell or OSU, depending on the rest of the results today.

The Northeastern/Maine women's semi is on NESN+. I won't be watching. My fire department installation dinner is this evening.

Clarkson can finish #1 if they beat Colgate (not Cornell) tomorrow and Wisconsin loses to Bemidji State or Ohio State (not Minnesota).
