It appear Rattray and Howe have captured the Clarkson Cup (how fitting) with the Markham Thunder with an OT win. Additionally, Rattray has won the Jayna Hefford Trophy (CWHL MOP). Congratulations to both of them!
I know Clarkson has pictures of its Stanley Cup winners at Cheel. I wonder if we should press them to add Clarkson Cup winners?

Not a bad idea, I find Cheel to be one of the most unique arenas with how they present our history and as you're pointing out quite a few Clarkson alums for the ladies have been doing some amazing things as of late so even if that means adding jerseys of Renata Fasts Team Canada jersey and a few professional jerseys like Ambrose, Fast, Howe, Mercer, Rattray to name only a few. I really hope the two professional women's leagues combine, it'd really make things even more interesting and unite the top talent in the world instead of dividing it, especially with the growth of the women's game over to China and potentially spreading throughout other countries as well.
My wife and I went to the "celebration at Cheel" on Tuesday. We had a great time but the crowd was SMALL. The students had classes at the same time and the ones we talked to said it was crunch time for end of semester and did not want to miss class. The attention paid to all the little kids was super.
That'd be quite the significant upgrade and not mot of a drop off from Tiley, this grad transfer rule was put in for cases like hers, she graduates from Ohio State and finds an academic program that her school can't offer, Clarkson is a great academic institution and happens to be the back-to-back National Champions, not a bad move for Sauve at all. She wasn't terribly far from Ohio State but it's still cutting the travel in half for family to see her play as well.
It's nice to see an ECAC team, especially a D-III one, in the receiving end of a grad student transfer for a change. The RPI men lost Drew Melanson to BU last summer and are rumored to be losing one or two more in this manner this summer.
I've got to wonder what graduate program CU offers that tOSU doesn't. I remember when I was there, they had a program in US/Canadian business studies. The OSU sports page doesn't show Kassidy's major, so I'm not even sure what might be applicable.
Rumor mill on USCHO is that Cassidy Sauve the goalie from Ohio State is transferring to Clarkson for her senior season??
If this is true, I think Clarkson is again the favorite for the national title next year. Defensive graduations and Olympians returning to other teams had me a little concerned, but adding probably the country's third best goaltender from last year (who stonewalled Clarkson's offense for almost 78 minutes and would have beaten us if not for us having the best goalie) would give Clarkson a really good chance for a three-peat.
I have a friend who knows "a good source inside Tech" for what is going on with the hockey teams and he was told by his source " I will neither confirm or deny Sauve is coming"

Well, if she's is planning transferring, she can't do so until she has officially graduated from anOSU, which wouldn't be until May or possibly June.
On a side note, is anyone up for moving this to a 2018–19 women's thread? Seems like we are moving on to another season's topics.

Why would she need to graduate? Women's hockey is not under the Graduate and transfer rule. They can transfer and be eligible right away unless the league has a rule blocking it.
