  • Going to OT tied 3-3. Clarkson down 3-1 through 2, Gosling scored early in the 3rd, Markowski ties it with about 30 seconds to go in the 3rd, to send it to OT. Colgate beat Quinnipiac, so the winner of Clarkson/SLU will travel to Hamilton sunday.

      I believe that’s Giguere’s queue.

          • SLU wins. Season's over. Desrosiers made a huge mistake, putting Coulombe as starter. The SLU OT goal was not Pasiechnyk's fault. Not much else to say, see ya Clarkson Women in 2021-2022.

              • Finally got a chance to watch the game on replay. Tough way to lose on a controversial clearance that lead to the winning goal. Could not tell from the replay but the Saints announcers were adamant that the puck that SLU cleared out of the Clarkson zone hit either a speaker or an Appleton structural beam.

So this was certainly a disappointing end to a disappointing season. Thanks to the seniors for all of their contributions to the program. Will be interesting to see if any of the seniors will use the extra year of eligibility. If not, scoring is gonna be one of the challenges next year.

WHOOOO WHOOO one last time for the year.

And some good news on a former Clarkson Star.

This is big news, especially if Giguere isn't coming back. Clarkson will need here to have another big season, and try to turn around this past 2020-2021 season.

                        • From Brad Schlossman at the Grand Forks Herald: Elizabeth Giguere is entering the transfer portal.

He broke the news on Twitter. Here's the text of his tweet:

Elizabeth Giguere, the 2020 Patty Kazmaier Award winner, is entering the transfer portal as a grad transfer. She had 99 goals and 223 points in four years at Clarkson.
And here's the link to the tweet: https://twitter.com/SchlossmanGF/sta...01387630788608

A giant bummer, to say the least. In my estimation Giguere is probably the best player in Clarkson hockey history, men's or women's. I feel completely awful thinking about Giguere on another squad, and also eternally grateful to have seen her absolute dominance over the past four years. I hope she finds a happy landing place wherever she goes.

From a fan's perspective, just awful news. Best of luck where ever she ends up. IMHO she is definitely the best woman's player in the history of the program.

                            • According to the Watertown paper Elizabeth's fiancé lives about 80 miles from Minn Duluth so she might want to play there.
