Hope every one will support both the men's and women's hockey teams in the Let CU Give campaign going on right now thru Oct 28th. Any amount will help.

      A note from Coach Matt.

21-22 is an Olympic year. I’d rather watch her play for Canada.

I'm sure the coach will not mind if I post it here since it is to all of the fan's of the women's team.

              Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a great weekend and are getting ready for Halloween. My son and daughter are pumped to get dressed up this year as Brodee is going as a Tampa Bay Lightning player and Brynlee is dressing up as the Stanley Cup. My only concern is Brodee actually trying to lift Brynlee up over his head!

I have some exciting news for everyone. Clarkson’s Giving Day is in full force and we are currently sitting in 3rd place…………..but it gets better! A very generous donor has presented a challenge for us to strive for. This particular supporter is going to match every dollar donated to the Women’s Hockey program up to $5,000!!!!!!! Amazing right?

So we need your help. We have already seen many alums, parents, and friends of the program donate to get us into 3rd place so we cannot thank you enough. Please feel free to share this #LetsCUGive event with families and friends to help us meet this $5,000 challenge and compete for first place. If there is one thing I know about Clarkson Women’s Hockey and their alums and followers, we know what it takes to win.

Here is the link to the Clarkson Athletics Giving Day Campaign. Please help in any way possible by donating or sharing this link with others. There are 2 days left in the #LetsCUGive event so let’s show everyone who has the best supporters at Clarkson.

              https://www.givecampus.com/pheh2u

Thanks again to everyone who has already donated and showed their support of Clarkson Women’s Hockey. If anyone would like to present a challenge, please feel free to reach out to me anytime. Take care and stay safe everyone.

One last update from Coach Matt

                  Hello Everyone,

#LetsCUGive is here!!!!! We are in the home stretch and champions will be crowned today.

It has been a couple days since my last email about the Athletic Giving Day dollar-for-dollar match challenge that was presented to us by a very generous alum, so I wanted to update everyone on where we are at. I am happy to say, that with everyone’s bigheartedness (yes it’s a word…….I used the thesaurus haha), we have met the challenge and earned ourselves an extra $5,000!!!! So a big thank you needs to go out to everyone who has participated and supported Clarkson Women’s Hockey.

However, we aren’t done yet. There are still 10 hours left in the Giving Day campaign and another alum has stepped up in a big way with another challenge. If we can get to 200 donors by the end of the day, this alum with donate $3,500 to Women’s Hockey!!!!! We are currently at 140 donors so our goal is in sight. To start it off, my wife and I will be making our annual donation to Athletics Giving Day to hopefully get the ball rolling towards 200 donors.

I know we have already had so many alums, family members, and friends of the program give so thank you for leading us into third place where we currently stand. Please share this campaign with family and friends you think would be willing to support #LetsCUGive. Here is the link you can use to share or post on social media.

                  https://www.givecampus.com/pheh2u

I recently received an updated list of former players, during my coaching tenure, that have given which has really brought back a lot of great memories for me just seeing their names. Some of those are (and I apologize if I missed anyone that has not shown up on my list yet):

Lauren Dahm Brooke Beazer Lindsay Williams Courtney O’Connor

Melissa Waldie Danielle Boudreau Emma Madigan Britney Selina

Brittany Styner Cayley Mercer Amanda Titus Erin Ambrose

Loren Gabel Shea Tiley Taylor Turnquist Olivia Howe

Renata Fast Genevieve Lavoie Dr. Kim McKenney Katie Bellows (Morrison)

Corie Jacobson Genevieve Bannon McKenzie Johnson Erica Howe

Jessica Gillham Emma Keenan Josiane Pozzebon Rhyen McGill

Cassidy Vinkle Shannon MacAulay Kelly Mariani Kassidy Sauve

                  Savannah Harmon

It is amazing to see so many former players wanting to give back to a program they helped build. It truly means a lot to myself, and others, within Clarkson Women’s Hockey to have so many people wanting to help a program, and school, which they have already given so much to. Thank you all again. Hopefully we will see more former players name appear on our donor list.

Once again, thank you to everyone who has been so supportive during this Giving Day campaign and throughout the years. Now let’s show everyone that Clarkson Women’s Hockey is up to any challenge that gets thrown our way and reach that 200 donor bar. Take care and stay safe.

CU Give for Women's Hockey was the 3rd most donors and the 2nd highest amount raised behind the Men's Hockey Team. Spend it wisely.

Team Donors $ Raised Goal (Donors) % Avg Donation
                    Women's Hockey 216 $23,433 281 76.9 $108.49

I would think that any of the donated amounts listed for any team include any challenge amounts booked.

Women's pre-season polls are up. Knights picked 6th, Princeton in 7th, and Cornell in 2nd. Wisconsin will be #1 to start the season, whenever that is.
