These two teams have had more then a couple battles over the last few years, building quite a rivalry. But for the first time, I can say without reservation, that in my opinion Colgate is far and away the better team.

Just saw the replay on the Colgate website Two Tech players, 1 Colgate player and 1 linemen all come together at the blue line at the boards and somehow the Colgate player comes away with the puck. Seconds later good night Tech

Bummer of a way to lose. Have to agree with LGT16 that Colgate has an overall better lineup from these 3 games. McQuigge and Giguere are the only ones providing any consistent offense. If Lonergan and David can start scoring the team will be OK. Really have to step up and win the final of this 4 game series.

I may be imagining things, but it has seemed to me that Clarkson has either struggled with recruiting or development (or both) since the third national championship season. The team in 2018–19 still had the North Country version of the Perfection Line and a goaltender in Sauvé that covered for a lot of the team's weaknesses, but Giguere is the only player left from that scheme now. Of course, you never want to read too much into a pandemic season (and those three trophies will be with us for a long time), but it's just something I've noticed.

I should point out that this is assessment is by the standards of a team that is expects to be one of if not the best in the nation. There are many teams Clarkson is still a lot better than.

Puck Drop at Cheel. Coulombe in net for Clarkson, Osborne in net for Colgate.

Already 1-0 Colgate. This Clarkson defense is embarrasing.

                  Colgate 2 Clarkson 1

Sorry for no updates, game is now in the 3rd. Lonergan scored late in the 2nd, Colgate just scored to take a 2-1 lead. Giguere is now tied with Loren Gabel for all time points.

                            FINAL: Clarkson 2 Colgate 2

The defense and goaltending needs to be better. Coulombe is missing shots that she stopped last season, but it's not all her fault. After Wisnewski gave the puck right away and lead to Colgate's first goal, I never saw her again. Last women's game until January, which the ECAC has confirmed league games will start then.
