Mirko Buttazzoni will probably be in here too. He's only 17. Another few years in the BCHL won't hurt him before he comes on campus.

                Olivier Beaulieu, D, Northwood, '05 birth year 5'11'' 160lbs

                Scouting:

He has a strong net front presence and doesn’t allow anyone to get comfortable near his goaltender. He has nice skating and he is hard to knock off the puck when he has it. He has balance, vision, and patience with a strong ability to execute passes. A lot of upside to his game and an exciting prospect to keep a close eye on.

                More:

Beaulieu was impressive all weekend. He was a minute eater for Northwood playing about 27 minutes a game. He’s a smooth skating, left-shot defenseman who plays well at both ends of the ice. He showed good mobility and to evade oncoming forecheckers using his skating. We liked Olivier’s ability to lead the rush or just make easy steady plays. He was poised under pressure, had his head up and made quality outlets. In his own end and in transition he was always in good spots as an option for his partner. He was active in the offensive zone along the line. On the PP Beaulieu made some excellent feeds picking up several assists on the weekend. High upside with this young player.

On the smaller side for a typical recent D at Tech!
