What is needed is another Giguere or Gabel and right now those talents are not coming to Clarkson. Sloan Matthews changing her mind and going to OSU really hurts. But that is the way of college athletics. If the larger Div I schools want someone that has previously committed to a small school like Clarkson, it is going to be tough to hold on to that recruit. And then losing them means you now have to find someone else of that caliber to fill that position. If your W-L record deteriorates (like it did in the COVID year and now this year), so will your recruiting.
Lonergans 17 goals is the one scorer that will certainly be missed.
David and B McQuigge should once again provide 15 to 20 goals but it would be great if they can get into the 20's.
What is needed is a major boost in scoring from this group: Goodwin (8), Frenette (6), Lessard (3), Cherkowski (4), K McQuigge (3), Kirwan (3), Branton (1). (21-22 Goals Scored in Parenthesis).
They all had scoring capabilities in their pre college days.Vicb

Forgot to mention Paige Hull & Ashlyn Ham are 2022-23. Guess we will have to see if Helgeson, Gaudet, or Hanson will use the covid year and stay as a graduate student. We no matter what lose Lonergan, Schuler, & Zeglen. Minotti could still come in, but if Pasiechnyk, Madrid, & Dedert all return it would be worthless.

The 2 wins at Maine was probably what got Clarkson into the NC$$ Tourney over UConn.Vicb
