Final: Clarkson 2 Brown 2 (Brown in the shootout)
Unbelievable. The exact same story as last Saturday. Good first period, and a pathetic 2nd and 3rd. The offense and defense was so bad it's not even worth talking about. We had 40 shots on net. 40. And we put 2 in. There is no "team". They can not do anything without requiring an effort, which would be too hard for them. Haider is playing is head off and the defense is leaving him dry. No win tomorrow, I'm calling for a coaching change.

This was classic CJ hockey. Change lines week after week, lack of hustle, lack of high percentage shots, lack of speed (which is the prime method to draw penalties from the other team) and then dump and change. I preached it (a change) a few years ago and was basically told on this forum by many to "be quiet, give him time". Brown, brown flush it down beats us in P-dam...... simply wow. Matt Curley where are you??? Can Craig Conroy be woo'd back to P-dam? So comforting to know that our D-I coach might be the fourth best coach in the town of P-dam right now. I passed 60 and realized that I'll never see CU in a frozen four for men's hockey. Like the town people who no longer come to the Cheel and we see empty seats, I'm considering to simply drop following the team and find more enjoyable and less frustrating things to do in life, which is simply too short to continue this affair without change.

Ok calling for a chage. I understand that. But a few questions: When is CJ contract up? Who would you recommend for replacement? My 2 cents on a change, CU is under Major Financial Stress so chance of them buying out a contract are none. Second, I've not seen one name mentioned that has experience and accomplishments that are affordable to CU. So my input is yes, its time for top grading the coach howver its NO to a coaching change. (Meaning we only replace CJ whith a proven accomplished coached) Look for names....
Clarkson's finances are impacted by a freshman class about 100 less than normal. Thats is a lot of tuition $ gone.
Also, the new president has much on his mind right now as he looks for a new Provost among other "pressing" situations, so a new Hockey coach is probably not ever on his radar.
End of 1st: Clarkson 0 Yale 1
Yet another horrendous 20 minutes. Parker with the start is doing what he can, but has no help offensively or defensively.
Yet again another game where we can't finish. Yale deserved the win from the start. I have had season tickets since 2007-08 and have been following them since 2004-05 and have not seen this team in thr spot they are in. I give a lot of credit to Parker tonight, who made great saves and backboned them to the end. Callin gets the only goal in regulation. Now we wait until the Holiday Faceoff at the end of the month to see them come back flat as always.
