  • One weekend left in the regular season, best scenario is to beat Dartmouth in regulation (3 points) and not get embarrassed too badly by Harvard. I think 3 points would keep us in 6th place, which currently would mean a one-game series at home against Yale. Not a good opponent for Clarkson, tied them 1-1 with a shootout lose here, then lost 4-0 there, so we have only scored one goal against them, given up 5.

Haider scored two goals this weekend, 1st goal against Cornell and then 3rd goal against Colgate.

    • Pardon my ignorance, but how did Haider score any goals?

Haider got caught out of position and the other team scored goals that should have been stopped. ie Haider was at fault so you could say he scored 2 goals (for the other team).

Yale is probably one of the worst matchups for Casey's style of play. There's a reason we match up better against Cornell than Yale.

          • Clarkson beats Dartmouth 4-0. Goals by Campbell, Romano, Ryan Taylor, & Gosselin. Haider makes 23 saves in his 3rd shutout of the season. Dartmouth dominated most of the first but the Knights shut them down the rest of the way. Clarkson clinches the 6th seed and will host the first round playoff game next saturday, with the chance at catching Colgate for 5th. Big tilt tomorrow night with Harvard in town.

            • Harvard leads Clarkson 2-1 after 1 period. Started out good then blew it pretty quick. Gosselin with the goal.

              • Harvard leads 3-2 after 2 periods. Romano tied it early in the 3rd and Clarkson had a great period until Harvard scored with. 2 seconds on the clock.

                • Lost 3-2. Wasn't expecting us to win but didn't expect it to be that close either. Need to shoot the puck badly. Way too much passing. Martino didn't take a single shot tonight and made atleast 20 passes with multiple opens looks. Now we wait to see who we play next saturday.

                  • Brown will be the team we will face next saturday.

                    • The Harvard game may have been one of the best played by the Knights this year. They played even with a legitimate top 20 team and a team that they don't match up well against on paper. Honestly, it was the most aggressive I've seen the Knights in quite some time. Now they move on to face Brown and anything goes in a 1 game winner-take-all, but if they manage to get past Bruno and the higher seeds win, we'd get Cornell in the quarterfinals. This, quite honestly, might be the preferred route for us to get to Lake Placid, as we match up against Cornell better than any other "good" team in the ECAC.

                      • Another interesting scenario might be we beat Brown (50-50 at best in my opinion) and Dartmouth somehow beats Colgate, then Clarkson is at SLU for the 1/4 final series.

                        • Clarkson leads Brown 1-0 after 1 period. Clarkson dominated the entire period, almost putting 20 shots on in 20 minutes. Beck had the Knights goal early on.

                            • Great game all around for Clarkson. Mobley picked up his first goal of the season late. Good way to close out the home portion of the schedule. Cornell is exactly who we needed, we know we can beat them. With the confidence in Clarkson's game recently, Placid all of a sudden doesn't seem so hard.

                              • It’s a playoff series at Lynah, and we beat them twice, that makes it 2x harder, I don’t see it unless Haider stands on his head, and even then that’s only to lose Coronato/Farrell in LP once again. If we win it all, I’ll be ecstatic but at the same time shocked.
