  • Clarkson's record vs the NCAA tourney field is an unimpressive 3-7-1. Merrimack L, Colgate W and T, Cornell 2Ws and 2Ls, Qpak 2Ls, Harvard 2Ls.

    • Almost glad that Clarkson didn't make the NCAA tourney. I could definitely see us on the losing end of one of those embarrassing blowout first-round scores. Only 1 out of 8 games was the winning margin 2 (Cornell over Denver, 2-0), all others were at least 4 goal margins, not to mention 7, 8, and 9 goal margins, and 4 of 8 were shutouts. Hopefully the regional finals will be more competitive.

For the history buffs, Clarkson's two NCAA tourney appearances under CJ were a 1-0 loss to Providence in 2018, and a 3-2 OT loss to Notre Dame in 2019 (the glory years).

The B1G has certainly come up big so far. I guess after several years of the league struggling, they're finally getting it together. I wonder if we're starting to see the effects of NIL money in that league.
