The Lakers will then travel to Upstate New York where they will split the weekend against a pair of ECAC foes. On Friday, Oct. 27, LSSU will take on the Clarkson Golden Knights after splitting a two-game series in Taffy Abel Arena this past season, a 4-3 overtime loss after the Lakers came back from down two goals in the closing minutes with freshman Connor Milburn (Kamloops, B.C.) tying the game with 1.7 seconds remaining in regulation as well as a 5-1 LSSU victory the following day that resulted in captain Louis Boudon (Grenoble, France) being named the CCHA Forward of the Week. After the game, the Lakers will then travel to nearby Canton, N.Y. to close out the weekend against St. Lawrence. LSSU took down the Saints by a score of 7-1 in their last matchup in Oct. 2021, but the most notable meeting between the two programs came in 1988 where a 4-3 Laker victory in overtime gave LSSU their first NCAA National Championship.

@Canisius x1
If anyone has any other information, please tell. I am assuming it's Canisius on the reverse for RIT because Niagara has another team scheduled the first weekend in January.

I don't believe that schools are making direct payments to athletes relative to NIL - instead it is third parties who are signing athletes to equivalent of endorsement deals. Where the schools are involved is the "full cost of attendance" - an extra payment for travel costs and other miscellaneous expenditures. I'm thinking I've heard that the amounts can be in the area of $5K per athlete. I don't believe Tech has the budget to pay "full cost of attendance".
